Me Garden.

A gorgeous day in Scotland, the sun splitting the pavements, not a breath of wind and I'm sitting in the garden with a cup of tea soaking up the warmth. Tilly is lying in her usual spot with her view down the valley (to the right of image). Birds are tweeting, cows are munching contentedly. All in all a very beautiful day.

East Ayrshire-Tess saying Hello to the cows

With the sun finally giving us a little bit of warmth the cows came down to our fence line and Tess and Tilly had a good bark at them all. The cows seemed unperturbed by all the commotion and at one point I thought I would have to shoo them off as they approached rather too close to a little bridge I have built over the burn.

Weekend at the Fringe

The Memsahib and I went to Edinburgh last weekend (late entry, we were there in August last year) to visit the fringe festival. The weather was kind to us and we managed to see an awful lot of Edinburgh, a town hitherto unexplored by the pair of us. Many and various street entertainers were in evidence, the usual juggling and unicycling but there were some good instrumentalists around as well. One worthy of note was a young dreadlocked white guy playing an instrument called a 'hang', the guy went under the name of 'Hang in Balance' and he does have a couple of  CD's out there. Look him up on Youtube.

Out for a walk

At last, some sunshine in the usually dreich (spelling to be confirmed) south west of Scotland. Tilly the Lurcher and her pal Tess the Labradoodle out for a walk up the lane opposite our hoose. Still I've got a fleece and a bodywarmer on, only 10 degrees C, or if you prefer 50 degrees F and that's without windchill. Not exactly splitting the pavements I'll grant you but it beats the rain coming sideways ;-)

Sitting in the office blogging and listening to a great new band, 'Alabama Shakes' a young band from, well, Athens, Alabama USA.

It's that time again

I had thought I would sell the bike this year, I MOT'd it and taxed it and put it on Autotrader........and then the sun came out, yeeeeehaa maybe I'll keep it after all :-D
